Paw Paw Hebert

Carroll Francis Hebert, 78, a native and resident of Houma, passed away at Terrebonne General Medical Center, Friday, Nov. 6, 2009.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday, Nov. 9, at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church by celebrant the Rev. Clyde Mahler, with internment in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 Mausoleum.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rowena Castille Hebert of Houma; two sons, Mark Simon Hebert and wife, Evelia “Nena”, of Balikpapan, Indonesia, and Owen Francis Hebert and wife, Donna, of Houston; one daughter, Nicole Annette Hebert Andrew and husband, David, of Youngsville; one brother, Patrick C. Hebert of Shreveport; six grandchildren: Evelia Rowena Hebert Benoit and husband Justin, of New Orleans; Mark Angel Hebert, USN, and wife Christina of Seaside, CA; Richard Alexander Hebert, USMC, stationed in the Philippines; Joseph David Andrew and Stephanie Camille Andrew of Youngsville; and Rachel Michelle Hebert of Houston; and three great-grandchildren: Mark Antonio Hebert and Chloe Simone Hebert of Seaside, CA; and Sophia Evelia Benoit of New Orleans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Marguerite Dusse’ Bellanger Hebert; and two brothers, Jasper and Horace Hebert.

He served in the Navy during the Korean War, and he worked for Freeport Sulphur Company for 36 years. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church, a member of VFW and American Legion.
